Established in 1903, the Alhambra Chamber of Commerce has served as a business voice for the City and has represented the broad cross section of business in Alhambra, ranging from small merchants and non-profits to some of the nation's largest corporations. The Chamber is a private, non-profit (501C6) tax-paying entity with 400 members. 

With a vision to foster ethnic harmony and to promote better understanding between different cultures, the Chamber launched the annual New Year celebration in 1991. In the last ten years, it has enjoyed steady growth in terms  of attendance, media coverage and corporate sponsorships.
